You will serve as a PROGRAM SUPPORT SPECIALIST in the DIVISION OF MEDICAL EDUCATION, DEPARTMENT OF PEDIATRICS of UNIF SRVS UNI OF THE HLTH SCI.
Duties
You will provide analytical and technical guidance and assistance on educational and administrative activities of the Department of Pediatrics (PED) to the Medical Education Division Director, the Department Chair, faculty, staff and students.
You will provide and/or coordinates administrative and analytical support for administrative and financial areas of PED, with emphasis on education, education research, and faculty development activities.
You will work with faculty and staff in planning, coordinating, monitoring, and facilitating the processes to accomplish recruitment, admission, and matriculation of students.
You will maintain related educational files, including past examinations, student performance records, grades, and correspondence.
You will prepare, manage, and coordinate various correspondence, analytical reports, and computerized spreadsheets on departmental educational programs.
You will assist in planning the orientation schedule, arranging faculty speakers, and collaborates with the University Multidiscipline Laboratories on book and computer issuance.
You will assist the University Information Systems Directorate to provide training on the use of electronic computer systems and software, and the Learning Resource Center.
You will collect and analyze organizational information and prepares reports regarding education program budget information, staffing, educational outcomes, and administrative activities and recommends viable solutions to problems or improvements.
You will analyze practices and procedures dealing with educational funds, classroom and office space, procurement, and equipment and materials.
You will review and revise budget transactions for staffing, contracts, travel, and related administrative support needs of the office. Develops tracking systems for funds.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing educational and administrative support maintaining student records, prepare various, and making recommending solutions to improve the efficiency or effectiveness of a training or education program..

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to this position being filled.
