Duties
You will work closely with the Deputy Director, EEO, senior specialists, managers, supervisors and non-supervisory employees to support EEO programs.
You will work with the EEO office to raise awareness of EEO policies and principles.
You will raise cultural awareness; conduct barriers analysis and outreach.
You will serve as an EEO Counselor and try to resolve issues at the lowest level and write counselor reports and develop case files.
You will document data in DON approved database and Identify trends, activity issues and potential solutions and share with Deputy Director, EEO.
You will manage the process to provide reasonable accommodation to qualified individuals with a disability and seeks input from higher senior specialist on non-routine assignments.
You will review and analyze data, surveys and various sources on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis to identify potential barriers and provides input to assist the Deputy Director, EEO to create a plan of action to eliminate barriers.
=You will review and update annual and/or ad hoc training as needed for final review by Deputy Director, EEO.
You will analyze data to provide to Deputy Director, EEO and coordinate/assist with diversity and inclusion events.
You will conduct barrier analysis to determine if there are potential discriminatory practices/barriers to the employment/advancement of all groups of employees/applicants for employment.
You will recommend ways to change these practices and remove potential barriers.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
FOR THE NT-2: I have at least three years of general experience that includes one year of experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NT -01 (GS 4) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. General experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: that demonstrates the ability to analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; plan and organize work; and communicate effectively orally and in writing.
FOR THE NT-3: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-02 (GS 5-8) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or publics sector applying policies, regulations or rules relating to Equal Employment Opportunities by compiling data or maintaining records for an organization.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
FOR THE NT-02:
- Successful completion of a four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree; or
- A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. Your percentage of the required education plus percentage of the required experience must equal one hundred percent.
FOR THE NT-03:
- Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree; or
- Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree; or
- Successful completion of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the position being filled; or
- A combination of specialized experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
