You will serve as an AIRCRAFT OVERHAUL & REPAIR SUPERVISOR I in the FLEET READINESS CENTER MID ATLANTIC FRCMA A/C DEPT MRO PRODUCTION DIV of FRC SE DET MIDLANT OCEANA.

Duties

You will perform daily, weekly, and monthly sequence of work operations for subordinates. You will analyze specific work priorities and sequences from general guidelines established by higher-level supervisors, both military and civilian. You will interpret blueprints and prepare layouts and sketches as necessary. You will request necessary tools, materials, and equipment.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

Qualifications

The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION Coordinate work of the unit with other units where required, and train subordinates in proper work methods, use of equipment, and shop practices. Interface closely with military counterparts in at least four different functional areas at two different geographically dispersed intermediate level sites. Participate with higher-level military and civilian managers in the initial planning of current and future work schedules, budget requests, staffing needs, estimates, and recommendations as scheduling projected work. Keep all work operations under observation and control; resolve work problems and take action to overcome bottlenecks. Monitor the quality aspect of the work of artisans, and ensure all work is inspected in the proper sequence prior to submitting to Quality Assurance for verification. Maintain Individual Qualification Record (IQR) for all trades in Advanced Skills Management (ASM), manage workflow in both depot level MRP II and intermediate level NALCOMIS information technology systems.
