About the position: This position will be assigned to the 60 FSS Marketing on Travis AFB, CA.
Regular Part-time employees are guaranteed 20 hours per week, but may work up to 40 hours per week.
Eligible for benefits such as: Medical and Dental, Stand Alone Dental and Life Insurance, NAF Retirement, 401(k). Tuition assistance after one year.
Eligible to use base facilities such as: Base Exchange (BX), Gym, Outdoor Rec, Library, Marina, Golf Course, Bowling Center, and Arts & Crafts Center.
Duties
Uses desktop publishing and graphic software to develop designs within the visual guidelines of the FSS corporate identity.
Assists in organizing projects for presentations.
Maintains historical files of selected products and updates visual marketing displays for accuracy.
Interfaces with other marketing team members to create projects and marketing plans.
Coordinates printing options with outside vendors.
Answers inquiries on design request.
Coordinates printing, stapling and productions of in-house products. Works to update electronic marketing vehicles such as the FSS website, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
Organizes and determines supply orders to maintain print equipment and stock.

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- Must be physically able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Bachelor's or Associates degree in fine arts or a minimum of two (2) years experience combined with certified training certificate(s) is desirable but not required. Must be experienced using Microsoft software products. Must have an advanced understanding of all Creative Cloud Adobe products including Illustrator, PhotoShop and InDesign (design skills testing will be requested). Must have the ability to design art and copy layouts in a wide variety medium. Must have knowledge of print design principles and concepts. Thorough knowledge of computer design and graphic software is required. Must have the ability to design and maintain web pages and demonstrate ability to meet multiple deadlines with low error percentage. Must be proficient with Social Media including Facebook, lnstagram, Twitter and texting. Must possess a valid driver's license.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
