The position functions as the Program Management Analyst for the Activations section of the Associate Director of Operations service for the Orlando VA Healthcare System (OVAHCS) and reports directly to the Chief of Activations.
Duties
DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TOO :
Works with members of the health care team, point of service contacts, activations team, project management, construction specialists, project engineers and all related parties to ensure that services are easily obtained and meet customer requirements and short-term problems are quickly resolved.
Performs work involving the collection, compilation, and analysis of data and statistical information in support of an organization's program operation.
Assists in the planning, review, and reporting of data/statistical results of program/project studies. Establishes protocols for incoming data, organizes computerized data sets, develops report criteria, retrieves data and performs analysis.
Evaluates documents, e.g., reports, strategic plans, permit applications, budget requests and other pertinent data collection documents for content and compliance.
Identifies systemic difficulties and corrects them. Reviews documents, reports, and/or applications for omissions and inconsistencies, and ensures data entry is complete and accurate.
Proposes alternative corrective measures for all discrepancies.
Enters pertinent information into various automated systems.
Maintains automated systems of program specific data to track items such as milestones, progress reports, funding accomplishments, compliance strategies, etc.
Monitors metrics for several VA specific measures.
A one year supervisory probation period may be required for this position.
Not remote position, must live within local commuting area.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 07/31/2024.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-09 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.

Specialized experience: Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Gather, assemble and analyze facts, make conclusions from facts and devise solutions; Prepare oral and written reports and presentations; analyzing and evaluating techniques to identify, consider, and resolve issues or problems of a procedural nature or factual nature; problems or issues related to observable conditions, written guidelines covering working methods and procedures such as performance and production standards, and information of a factual nature; use of theory and principles of management and organization, including administrative practices and procedures common to the medical center, such as those pertaining to areas of responsibility, channels of communication, delegation of authority, routing of correspondence, filing systems, and storage or files and records.

Physical Requirements:
The work is primarily sedentary, although some slight physical effort may be required.
Assignments regularly involve long periods of standing, bending, and stooping to observe and study work operations in an industrial, storage, or comparable work area.
