GS-12 Salary: $96,684 (Step 01) to $125,685 (Step 10);
NOTE: First time hires to the Federal Government are typically hired at the Step 01.

As a Construction Control Representative within the Office of Management Services, some of your specific duties will include:

Definitions:
EXPERIENCE: One year of work experience is twelve months working full-time (at least 35-40 hours per week). Part-time experience can be pro-rated (i.e., a year at 20 hours per week is credited as 6 months of experience). If your position consisted of mixed duties, experience credit is given for the percentage of time that you spent on qualifying duties (i.e., if you held a position for 2 years, full-time, consisting of 25% personnel work and 75% budget work, and then applied for a budget position you could calculate your experience as follows: 2 yrs = 24 months. 24 months x 75% [percentage of time spent on budget duties] = 18 months of qualifying experience.)
For GS-12:
Applicants must meet the following to qualify for the GS-12 level:
One year of specialized experience in or directly related to this position that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. To be creditable, the required specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service.
Examples of GS-12 level work include experience in providing project management expertise for multimillion-dollar projects with highly complex major scopes that are technical in nature, applying engineering and architectural principals when providing project management services for design, construction, and renovation of projects. Writing statements of work, providing advice to customers in the planning and design state for renovations and relocations; monitoring contractor performance; conducting project reviews, adjusting funds, schedules and scope of work to ensure projects are completed within budget and within time constraints; resolve complex problems and conflicts impeding progress; provide expertise advise to key stakeholders to ensure their goals/parameters are adhered to; works directly with building tenants when facilities are co-located to included processing work orders withing the Bureau Facilities Management System; manages the performance of complex and highly technical comparative design analysis and recommends solutions to technical problems; and monitoring building constructions and tenant improvements according to tenant specifications.
