Duties

Conducts, analyzes, and evaluates the effectiveness of information and communication programs. Develops, promotes, and implements agency information program(s). Creates public information campaigns, develops internal communications, and builds and maintains stakeholder relationships, including state governments and Tribes. Develops programs/activities informing stakeholders and the public about policies, programs and services in furthering agency goals for the Office of the Regional Director.

Qualifications

Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Minimum Qualification requirements as noted below. Minimum Qualifications: GS-11: You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing (3) of the (4) duties listed below: Participating in the planning of community outreach events. Utilizing written and social media communication techniques to promote organization activities or create social media campaigns. Developing parts of a communication plan for an organization. Responding to media questions on standard organization policies or explaining the benefits of organization programs to interested groups. OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.M., if related; OR a combination of the required experience and education for this grade level. Selective Placement Factor (SPF): This position requires a SPF be met in order to meet minimum requirements for the position.
