Become a part of the Business Office Branch (BOB) of the Office of Innovation and Information Technology. The customer-facing side of BOB assists all Office of Research Services and Office of Research Facilities divisions with hardware and software procurements and the management of the Capital Investment Funds (CIF) program. This position supervises a team of analysts in analyzing, evaluating, and/or improving the efficiency of internal administrative operations, organizations, or management.

Duties

If selected for this position as a Supervisory Management Analyst, GS-0343-14 your duties may include, but are not limited to the following: Leads teams of specialists, or individually conducts in depth studies, reviews, evaluations, and assessments of issues and proposals assigned. Utilizes expert skills in studying work methods, administrative guidelines, procedures, utilization of human resources, work assignments, delegations of authority, management controls, information and documentation systems. Designs and conducts comprehensive management studies where the boundaries of the studies are extremely broad and difficult to determine in advance. Participates in planning sessions, contributes management oriented expertise in discussions of innovative ways and means of carrying out assigned programs, new programs, etc., and provides expert advice on the administrative and management implications of policy and program proposals. Exercises the full range of first level supervisory responsibilities over the subordinate staff.

Qualifications

In order to qualify for a Supervisory Management Analyst, GS-343 position at the GS-14 level, you must have: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: 1) providing technical leadership to a team performing management analysis activities; 2) analyzing and evaluating activities and events to recommend more efficient, effective and economical ways to accomplish workload and program objectives; 3) conducting in depth studies, reviews, evaluations, and assessments of issues related to improving organizational management; and 4) developing organizational strategies to meet objectives and mission requirements in multiple administrative areas such as information management, human capital, finance, administrative support, or budget.
