Duties
As a/an Deputy Director Office of Block Grant Assistance, you will:
Advise the Assistant Secretary for Community Planning and Development and the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Grant Programs on all aspects of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program as authorized pursuant to Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended.
Ensure that CPD systems development processes, particularly those related to the Integrated Disbursement and Information System (IDES) and the Disaster Recovery Grant Reporting (DRGR) System, account for CDBG and CDBG-DR issues in design and deployment of such systems.
Provide advice and guidance to CPD senior management, public interest groups, as well as other senior Departmental managers such as the Secretary, the Deputy Secretary, and Assistant Secretary for Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs.
Provide direct supervision to OBGA Division Directors. Provide leadership in development of annual risk analysis processeses to ensure CDBG issues receive appropriate consideration in allocation of CPD field staff monitoring resources.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-15 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
-Managing or leading a team; AND
-Working with community development or affordable housing or economic development programs; AND
-Drafting and delivering presentations to senior leadership, high level stakeholders, etc.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
