About the position: This position will be assigned at the Child Development Center III on Nellis AFB, NV. Regular Part Time employees are guaranteed 20 hours but may work up to 34 hours per week. This position does offer benefits. Ability to lift/move objects weighing up to 20 pounds, and over 20 pounds with assistance. Ability to continuously stand/walk/stoop/reach/push/bend for long periods of time. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate.

Duties

The purpose of this position is to perform routine manual duties in food preparation or food service areas. Sets up glasses, silverware, dishes, trays, napkins, condiments, and cold menu items (e.g., salad, dessert, bread, and cold beverages) on a serving line. Removes dishes and trays from tables. Operates, breaks down and cleans all electrical equipment for food preparation. Cleans kitchen equipment (e.g., worktables, sinks and refrigerators). Separates food waste and trash from dishes, glasses, and silverware in dishwashing area. Loads and operates dishwashers, stores clean dishes, glasses, and silverware. Washes tables and counters, vacuums, and shampoos carpets. Sweeps and mops kitchen floors, cleans windows, washes wall, and cleans and sanitizes trashcans. Sorts, washes, peels, and cuts fresh fruits and vegetables in accordance with approved guidelines for established menu for children. Ensures children receive foods in proper portions as outlined in the food program guidelines. Assists cooks in food preparation by weighing, measuring, and assembling ingredients according to standard recipes. Requirements

• This position requires satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks in accordance with Air Force and DoD policy, and a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent to be able to obtain, maintain, and provide evidence of current immunizations this include annual influenza vaccinations and be free of all communicable diseases.
• This position requires the incumbent to complete assigned training, to include Food Handlers Certification, within specified time from date hire or assignment to position.
• U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal Affiliation.
