Duties
MAJOR DUTIES: Responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and directing a comprehensive youth sports program. Aboard the Air Station. Serves a liaison with other military services, organization, and local community. Ensures facilities are properly prepared in accordance with the rules and regulations of the sport and league. Assists in maintaining sports grounds in proper playing condition. Responsible for recruiting, training, and supervision of volunteers/coaches¿critical to the execution of the Youth Sports program. Monitors coaches and ensures compliance with the National Alliance of the Youth Sports (NAYS) policies and guidelines that include fingerprinting. Prepares supporting data for new plans and budget requirement recommendations. Coordinates program efforts with the managers of other recreation functions. Is a credit card holder and is responsible for the purchases for the Athletics Department.

Qualifications
Must have the experience that demonstrates knowledge of the principles, concepts, and methods of youth sports program operations. Must have experience with automated data processing procedures and administrative correspondence. Must have experience in customer service and relations. Must be able to work in little supervision. This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance.Possess or have the ability to obtain the National Alliance of Youth Sports (NAYS) Clinician and Sports Administrator¿s course of instruction. Must possess a valid driver¿s license ability to obtain a government license. Able to operate a vehicle with a gross weight of 1 ton.
