THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION WITH NO MILITARY REQUIREMENT.
This National Guard position is for a HR ASST (MIL), Position Description Number PDT5045000 and is part of the Mississippi National Guard.
Duties
As a HR ASST (MIL), GS-0203-6, you will pserve as the final reviewer and procedural authority of personnel actions submitted to the MILPO. This position is located in the Military Personnel Office (MILPO) of the Army National Guard.
Qualifications
This is an indefinite position, tenure 3, with a time limit determined by the needs of the agency. Any permanent military technician who is selected for this position will become tenure 3. The selectee will receive the same benefits and entitlements as the tenure 1 employee but will be considered tenure 3 for purposes of reduction in force. You can be terminated at any time with a 30-day notice. If a permanent resource becomes available, incumbent may be converted to a permanent appointment without competition.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Work performing clerical, assistant, or technical work which requires knowledge of the procedures, established guidelines, and techniques involved in carrying out the work of the organization.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 9 months experience, education or training that provided knowledge of general office work which may include but is not limited to: answering telephones, receiving and distributing mail and maintaining records. Experience following oral or written instructions to accomplish work. Experience establishing and retrieving files and information. Experience using common computer software designed
for word processing.
