You will serve as a MARINE MACHINERY MECHANIC in the PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT, MACHINE DIVISION, PUMP SHOP of SOUTHEAST REG MAINTENANCE CTR SERMC.
Duties
You will follow technical manuals, blueprints, and formal work procedures to remove, repair, overhaul, install and align centrifugal and positive displacement pumps.
You will install and repair various control/regulating or safety devices.
You will inspect and perform repairs on diesel generators and propulsion engine systems.

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift as required by the work assignments in shops and shipboard conditions.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

Performing the full range of operations which include including installing and aligning propulsion machinery and associated equipment/components; installing various control/regulating or safety devices; and inspecting and troubleshooting generators and propulsion engine systems.
