About the Position: Sierra Army Depot is located in Herlong CA, a rural town in Northern California. Employees work a 4/10 work week, Mon-Thurs, 0630-1700 hrs. Youth Facilities and daily childcare available. The depot serves as an Army Expeditionary Logistical Support Center, (Mass transportation is available at minimal cost.)

Duties

Coordinates with other management officials to plan immediate and long requirements. Assign and explain work requirements and operating instructions. Evaluate work operations and review completed work and inspection reports. Develop and establish internal procedures.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 31
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Materials Examiner and Identifier Supervisor (Direct Hiring Authority) ~ without more than normal supervision. Performed common duties of a Materials Examiner and Identifier Supervisor. I have exercised supervisory responsibility over subordinate supervisors and work operations conducted in multiple building within the organization; plans use of subordinates and equipment on a quarterly basis; determines resource requirement, materials, and the number of employees to accomplish long range work. Set deadlines and establishes sequence of work to be followed; sets performance standards and makes formal appraisals of subordinates. I work under normal supervision of a work supervisor who observes tasks in progress and upon completion make sure they are properly performed. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
