Duties
As Resource Management Supervisor, your duties will include:
Directing program segments comprised of employees performing professional, administrative, and technical work.
Working with interdisciplinary teams to formulate recommendations on highly complex technical issues and policy issues.
Serving as liaison with organizational counterparts within the region to ensure stakeholder, public, and environmental interests are considered in operational decisions.
Reviewing and advising on agency policies, directives, and other applicable criteria that affects project accomplishments.
Negotiating cooperative arrangements with representatives from other government agencies and/or concerned parties.
Performing other related duties as assigned within this classification.
Qualifications
In order to be rated as qualified for this position, the HR Office must be able to determine that you meet the specialized experience requirement -- this information must be clearly supported in your resume.
To qualify for the GS-13: You must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal civil service, having demonstrated the following: 1) Performing project management functions (i.e., planning, estimating, budgeting, scheduling, monitoring, quality control, close-out/completion); 2) Leading or assisting in leading an interdisciplinary project delivery team and/or formulating technical reference documents for civil construction projects; 3) Considerable involvement in the development and implementation of natural resource management project plans or civil construction project plans; 4) Maintaining positive working relationships with a variety of public and/or private sector agency officials and other concerned parties to coordinate the fulfillment of program objectives and to resolve related issues. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade level in the Federal civil service (GS-12).
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Time-In-Grade: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower-grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b).
You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including time-in-grade restrictions and any selective placement factors if applicable, by 08/02/2024.
