You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (POLICYPLN/INFOSEC) in the DIRECTOR C5I (N6) of COMNAVAIRLANT.
Duties
You will implement measures to protect Information Technology resources from physical destruction or theft, maintains contingency and disaster recovery plans for CNAL; updating as needed.
You will oversee procedures for establishing new, transferring, or removing user accounts.
You will ensure all users sign NIPRNET/SIPRNET user agreements prior to account establishment and users agreements are maintained at command level for the designated period of time.
You will develop certification and accreditation plans and procedures; identify deficiencies and implements appropriate risk mitigation procedures.
You will develop security documentation, which includes Interim Authority to operate letters, site surveys, evaluation/identification of residual risks, and development of contingency plans, Cyber Security procedures, and final accreditation letters.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area Intermediate (I) level 722 within 12 months of appointment.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience applying Federal Law, DOD, DON, and NATO government policies, directives and other regulatory materials governing information security programs for personal, physical, emanations, encryption, hardware, software, telecommunications and procedures for operational information systems capabilities.
Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications capabilities and limitations including data transfer modes and storage medin, malicious penetration and infiltration methodologies, incident handling, as well as Computer Network Defense and system protective measures.
Knowledge of Afloat computer equipment, information systems, Network Operational Center functionality and operations, Embarkable Staff, Air Wing and Squadron information systems, communication and integration requirements onboard DON carrier platforms.
Experience identifying security risks and determining/developing/promulgating solutions to integrate security solutions into the design, development, configuration, integration and management of operating systems as evidenced by experience.
Specific cyber security knowledge in two (or more) of the following areas required: cyber risk and strategic analysis; enterprise architecture; program management; distributed control systems security; network and systems engineering; training and exercise facilitation and management; cyber vulnerability detection and assessment; incident handling and malware/vulnerability analysis; and, cyber related infrastructure inter-dependency.
Experience identifying cyber security issues and risks and the ability to develop strategies to address future cyber security challenges as evidenced by experience.
Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
