You will serve as a Secretary in the Admin support Department of COMFLTREADCEN.

Duties

You will receive telephone calls to deliver clear messages or answer specific department questions. You will perform front office duties in greeting, screening, and checking all visitors to the COMFRC Flag Wing You will answer routine questions to ensure flow of office operations. You will open and sort correspondence to determine the recipient for a timely and appropriate distribution. You will make travel arrangements in accordance with travel regulations. You will maintain a calendar for others using an automated calendar (e.g., MS Outlook).

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Qualifications for GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1) Planning, directing, coordinating, and advising on all administrative matters; 2) Planning, coordinating and executing COMFRC protocol activities; 3) Managing calendar appointments with complete authority for commitments of time, coordinating with the Operations Officer, Flag Aide and Group Heads as necessary; 4) Receiving, logging and screening correspondence prepared for the Flag Wing staff signature for clarity, completeness, and grammatical and procedural correctness while following established procedures, in accordance with the Correspondence Manual and returns inadequate submissions for correction; 5) Planning all necessary arrangements for special visits, conferences, symposiums and other major activities and events for which the Executive Director and all Flag Wing Staff are involved; 6) Preparing the necessary travel arrangements for the Executive Director, FST Executive/ Chief Engineer, Director of Maintenance and Command Master Chief. Qualifications for GS-08: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1) Coordinating on all administrative matters; 2) Planning and executing COMFRC protocol activities; 3) Managing calendar appointments, coordinating with the Operations Officer, Flag Aide and Group Heads as necessary; 4) Receiving, logging and screening correspondence prepared for the Flag Wing staff signature for clarity, completeness, and grammatical and procedural correctness while following established procedures, in accordance with the Correspondence Manual; 5) Preparing the necessary travel arrangements for the Executive Director, FST Executive/ Chief Engineer, Director of Maintenance and Command Master Chief.
