Duties
As a FACILITIES OPERATIONS SPECIALIST at the NH-1640-3 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Provides the infrastructure support, services, and facility management to support various Missile Defense Agency (MDA) facilities,
Assures optimal functioning of buildings and systems including mechanical, fire/life safety, and elevators on a daily basis.
Direct activities concerned with the operation, repair, maintenance, and construction of facilities, equipment, buildings, and grounds to minimize interruption and improve efficiency.
Oversee facility renovation projects entailing HVAC, electrical, emergency power generation equipment, heating, and quality of life
within the facility

Qualifications
You may qualify at the NH-03, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the grade level NH-02/GS-11 in the Federal service: (please have 3 of 4 of the following)
Managing a maintenance program for office or apartment building complexes, hospitals, recreation facilities, military, or other special-purpose installation buildings.
Planning maintenance activities, and developing preventive maintenance programs for organization
Conducting surveillance activities over construction and maintenance operations performed by a variety of private contractors or federal entities.
Providing product management support for planning, designing, constructing, expansion, and/or re-purposing of existing and/or new facilities
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
