Duties
Assist in setting up drill and auger rigs (truck or skid-mounted as well as column mounted) and associated equipment (water pumps, mud pumps, compressors, etc.).
Use various equipment such as drills, pumps, compressors, generators, grout mixers, high pressure drain cleaners and trucks/trailers to set up, operate, control, and maintain the equipment in support of Drill Rig Operators and technical staff on job sites.
Load and unload tools and materials necessary for drilling operations, such as drill rods, casing, auger flights, hoses, and cement, bentonite, silica sand, etc.
Clean and store hand tools in proper storage areas.
Clean and maintain drill trailers.
Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment and help with repairs.
Label all geologic samples for inspection and logging.
Qualifications

Minimum qualifications for trades and labor positions are determined by evaluation of job elements. You must meet at least 2 points on the screen-out element(s) and obtain an average of at least 2 points on all of the job elements in order to be considered qualified for this position.

Selective Placement Factor: This position requires a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with tanker endorsement as a condition of employment. You will be expected to obtain a valid CDL within one year after reporting for duty. Failure to obtain or maintain a CDL will result in the termination of appointment.
Payment for licensing and renewal activities (e.g., application and processing fees, fees to obtain copies of licenses, certificates, etc.) will be made by the employee and reimbursed by Reclamation.
