This position is located in a State Office in USDA/Rural Development (RD) in Denver, Colorado.
The incumbent provides a wide range of substantive and technical assistance and support to the top management and staff of the organization.
This position may be eligible for hiring incentives.
This position is neither remote nor virtual.
The employee will be expected to report in person to the assigned duty location.
Duties
Support major projects and programs to include maintenance, gathering and compiling records to include goals and milestones, tracking databases, record-keeping.
Prepares reports, briefings, spreadsheets and correspondence using a wide range of complex data. Includes proof-reading and attention to detail for document editing and format.
Reviews administrative regulation, procedures and policy to determine application and implementation.
Supports development of staffing plans, employee development and organizational design by use of tracking data and record-keeping tools.
Requirements

Qualifications
Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below.
For the GS- 7 level: Applicants must possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level; or its non-Federal equivalent that demonstrates: Applicants must possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-06); or its non-Federal equivalent that demonstrates: experience evaluating and improving the efficiency, effectiveness and productivity of procedures and policy directives to determine applicability to the office; analytical support in such areas as organization, records, reports, forms, files, communication, human resources, and directives management. Providing administrative support by preparing written correspondence; experience creating documents using automated software, such as Microsoft Office, by editing documents, revising spreadsheets, updating power-point presentations, and maintaining calendars, making travel arrangements, scheduling appointments/meetings, managing timekeeping duties; experience performing receptionist duties including answering the phone, greeting/directing/accompanying visitors to the office. There is no substitution of education for experience at the GS-7 grade level.
