Duties

Provide authoritative accounting and financial management advice and services to management that meet the day-to-day and long-range management needs of the organization. Manage the installation of new accounting systems as directed by HHQ and the development of supplemental accounting systems, procedures, and controls or adaptation of procedures to meet local accounting needs. Advise senior management on the accounting implications of strategic and tactical decisions. Plan and distribute workload among subordinates in accordance with established workflow or job specialization to ensure timely accomplishment of the assigned mission. Make recommendations concerning the maintenance or replacement of equipment and the maintenance and safety of facilities.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
• Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 17-Nov-2011.
• This position requires one year supervisory probation period.

This can include up to 6 hours of business law; OR (2) A certificate as Certified Public Accountant or a Certified Internal Auditor, obtained through written examination.
