Duties
Has oversight responsibility for the programs and project management activities related to execution of the District's large, complex and diversified IIS programs.
Ensures consistency and continuity of program management within the District and provides a central point of contract on assigned phases of the program.
Interfaces with other District staff chiefs to ensure overall program coordination for planning, engineering, real estate, contracting, construction and legal issues.
Also, interfaces with the customer, MACOM's, state and Federal government agencies, higher headquarters, and others interested in the program.
Ensures the efficient, effective and timely execution of the assigned program in accordance with the established objectives, schedules, and program funds.
Ensures customer satisfaction by providing a quality product consistent with direction of higher authority, laws, regulations and policies.
The programs involve investigations, design and construction for the EPA, Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection, Bureau of Indian Affairs, FEMA, Federal Aviation Administration, Department of Energy, and other agencies.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Financial Disclosure statement OGE-450 is required.
- Must be able to obtain a Secret Security clearance is required.
- Must be able to obtain DAWIA III within 18 months of entry.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes service as a program or project manager which includes experience gained in funds management and program life cycle requirements for Civil Works, Interagency & International Services (IIS), and/or Military programs, including revenue forecasting, the management of existing funds from a wide variety of customers and appropriations, and customer financial reporting.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13)
