About the Position: This position is located at Fort Moore, GA. The incumbent will manage the daily operations of all facets of DPTMS matters pertaining to operations optimization, knowledge management, information governance, training and capacity building, and performance measurement and reporting.
Duties
Perform general management and verification to assure compliance with established plans, schedules, operating policies, and known desires of the Director.
Responsible for developing, implementing, and streamlining workflow processes to improve directorate efficiency and productivity within existing resources.
Collaborate with Division staff to collect and compile data into actionable recommendations to support strategic and operational decisions.
Conduct operational reporting using various automated systems to include Installation Status Report (ISR), Strategic Mgmt System (SMS), Army Disaster Pers Accountability and Assess (ADPASS), SharePoint, and communications equipment.
Perform a wide range of administrative and analytical duties in the formulation, presentation, and execution of the DPTMS mission.
Discuss and coordinate new and existing policies and proposals with the Director and Division Chiefs, assuring full coordination prior to command approval.
Prepare and submit reports using data collection and analysis techniques IAW established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and OPORDs.
Serve as special project officer for a myriad of actions involving Garrison Command, and higher headquarters emphasis.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Occasional TDY required.
- This position has been designated “Mission Essential”.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includesreviewing, developing, preparing, and updating detailed plans, exercises, and operations in support of successful execution of policies and strategies; produce operational decisions to support mission requirements; deliver briefs on new policy development and implementation. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
