You will serve as an EQUAL OPPORTUNITY ASSISTANT in the EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY of US FLEET CYBER COMMAND. This position is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1599f.

Duties

You will conduct initial intake and fact-finding interviews with employees having Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) program-related complaints. You will respond to routine EEO program-related inquires and requests for information, referring complex requests to the Special Assistant (SA) and other EEO Specialists, along with a summary of pertinent information. You will collect and compile a variety of EEO data from various sources and databases to prepare and assemble routine and special purpose reports, charts, and visual aids. You will serve as the Harassment Prevention and Response Program (HPRP) Coordinator. You will schedule and make arrangements for various meetings, briefings, trainings, and conferences.

Requirements

  • MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You must successfully complete a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph with No Deception Indicated (NDI).

Qualifications

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by: -Experience conducting initial intake interviews with complainants to obtain facts. -Experience inputting data into systems, databases, and trackers, and extract data as needed. -Experience using software programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, or similar applications to produce and format a variety of routine correspondence such as reports, charts, and visual aids. -Experience maintaining physical and electronic file systems. This position is within the Work Category TECHNICIAN & ADMIN SUPPORT at Work Level ENTRY/DEVELOPMENTAL Series and Grade GG-0361-07. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
