We are recruiting for Technical Writer-Editors who will serve as a technical experts and write and edit products that articulate, interpret, and explain complex or potentially controversial policies, programs, and research findings

Requirements

Qualifications

In order to qualify for a Technical Writer-Editor, GS-1083 position at the GS-12 level, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: writing and editing products that summarize research studies, describe the work of an organization, and disseminate technical or scientific information; tailoring scientific and technical information for a specific audience; gathering information on a specific subject matter using published journals, online sources, observations, or interviews with subject matter experts; editing materials for consistency, clarity, and conformance to grammar and style guides; and advising authors and designers of effective formats and illustrations to augment a written message. In order to qualify for a Technical Writer-Editor, GS-1083 position at the GS-13 level, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: writing and editing products that articulate, interpret, and explain policies, programs, and research; analyzing the credibility of data sources for presenting technical information; editing materials for accuracy of technical terminologies and consistency with the organization's mission; and authorizing the clearance of materials for publication. You will receive credit for all experience material to the position, including experience gained in religious, civic, welfare, service, and organizational activities, regardless of whether you received pay.
