About the position: This position will be assigned to Marketing on Luke AFB, AZ.
This is a Regular Part-Time position, guaranteed minimum 20 hours per week and includes benefits.
Physically able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 60 pounds.
Duties
The primary function of the position is to assist the marketing office in the development of marketing and advertising programs for the Services Squadron. Designs and prepares flyer's, posters, bulletins, leaflets, brochures, calendars, marquess and other media to publicize FSS facilities, resources, and upcoming events. Responsible of the monthly creation of the Bolt magazine, conceptualizing and delivering creative content including written and photo assets to align with Brand's voice. Arranges for their printing and distribution. Submits information to AT EASE, the Services monthly base newspaper, and other news media to publicize Force Support Services (FSS) activities. Designs brand identity, logos, and package designs. Designs all graphical elements for FSS activities including signs, banners, menu boards, etc. adhering to branding style guidelines and recommendations. Makes frequent contacts with section managers to obtain information for upcoming events and activities. Assists in preparing briefings and communications materials such as Wing Stand-up, newcomers and FTEC slides. Utilizes a variety of software programs, including InDesign, Microsoft Office and Adobe Desktop Publishing Suite. Prepares and prints above mentioned media in black and white, gray-scale and full color. Operates a variety of office printing machinery including large format color poster printer, eliminator, color laser printer/copier, automatic folder and other equipment as needed. Maintains and updates the message on the electronic marquees, coordinating with base protocol and all Force Support Services activities. Serves a purchasing agent for departmental subscriptions and memberships.

Qualifying Experience:
At least one year experience which demonstrates the usable knowledge of the principles of visual design and skill in the use of common desktop publishing software, (InDesign, Microsoft Office, Adobe Desktop Publishing Suite), to produce a variety of visual products. Experience that demonstrates a knowledge of a variety of methods, techniques, and materials used in the design, production, and reproduction of visual products to plan the technical details of, or produce, aesthetically composed visual products in a timely manner. Must have a knowledge of general editing procedures, basic regulations, and pertinent office practices. Must be proficient in the operation of common office publishing equipment, computer usage, and keyboarding.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
