About the Position: This position serves as Installation Project and Management Project Manager. You will be responsible for managing the efficient and effective coordination and accomplishment of the planning, scoping, development, design, construction, and direction for execution of major projects.
Duties
Implement corporate decisions, guidance, laws, regulations, and policy in the development of projects and supporting products.
Manage and control project funds to ensure efficient and effective utilization.
Negotiate and integrate organizational functions, sponsor/customer needs and supporting commitments into a comprehensive management plan.
Serve as Project Manager for military programs from initial development of the program scope through actual construction of projects.
Review project progress, measuring performance and taking necessary corrective actions to maintain agreed upon schedule and cost.
Assure sponsor/customer or other agencies fiscal status remains secure and in accordance with established policies.
Reconcile sponsor/customer concerns, assuring all participants are informed of project progress, issues and impacts.
Control and manage project milestones and budgets from planning through construction and initial operations.
Integrate sponsor/customer requirements and participation into a comprehensive management plan.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) requirement of up to 25% of the Time.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter.
Qualifications
Salary:
For Architects and Environmental Engineers: $109,134 - $134,435.
For Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineers: $115,079 - $141,638.

Specialized experience:
In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the Specialized Experience requirements listed below: 1) Project management and/or technical management involving project development, contract acquisition, funding, design, award and construction of both new and repair/renovation of DoD Facilities; and 2) Providing technical advice and support to customers and other offices including higher authority, on engineering design, construction, and overall project management and execution. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
