The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Joint Personnel Recovery Agency, Personnel Recovery Academy registrar, responsible for the administration and coordination of all PRA resident student records, course registration, Oracle Training Application, and supports the Internation Management Student Officer program.

Duties

Provide for student attendance support for PRA's specialized SERE education and training courses per JPRA's annual allocation and schedule forecast Responsible for requirements and scheduling of programs and associated facilities; recommend solutions for scheduling conflicts. Assist in the research and analysis of program requirements for projected and planned program operations.

Requirements

  • All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
  • Position is designated critical sensitive and incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. This is a GG-09 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-09 duties for the "Technician/Administrative Support" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-09 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: knowledge of policies and procedures affecting Personnel Recovery Agency (PRA) training and support activities, development of one-time or recurring projects and requirements; and specialized Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE) education and training course content and associated pre-requisites; knowledge of travel policy, organization, roles, and functions; knowledge of standardized regulations, office procedures, and directives related to administrative duties, Oracle Training Application (OTA), International Management Officer (IMSO) program, and the Automated Message Handling System (AMHS). KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of DoD policies and procedures affecting Personnel Recover Agency (PRA) training and support activities, development of one-time or recurring projects and requirements; and specialized Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE) education and training course content and associated pre-requisites. 2. Knowledge of DoD travel policy, organization, roles, and functions of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), Service, US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Geographic Combatant Commands (GCC), and the Interagency. 3. Knowledge of standardized regulations, office procedures, and directives related to administrative duties, Oracle Training Application (OTA), International Management Student Officer (IMSO) program, and the Automated Message Handling System (AMHS). 4. Skill in analyzing and de-conflicting training and resource requirements to develop requirements and schedules in a timely, integrated manner to meet customer needs and emerging operational requirements; and in using office automation systems in order to work with and manipulate database, spreadsheet, and word processing programs. 5. Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources; and skill in interpersonal relations in order to converse with individuals of all levels. 6. Ability to analyze, compile, and prepare reports using collected statistical data and apply the knowledge of how the system works to retrieve data for reports and of English grammar to assist in developing staff packages, correspondence, and reports. Ability to communicate orally to explain administrative requirements and to disseminate local procedures and instructions to internal and external stakeholders. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
