About the Position: This position is in the Defense Health Network under the policy guidance and direction of the Defense Health Agency (DHA) and the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs (ASD (HA)).
Duties
Perform executive level support duties and analyses under the general supervision of the Chief of Staff/Deputy Director, Defense Health Network
Evaluate and analyze administrative programs to ensure the smooth daily operation of the Defense Health Network - Front Office.
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the Director, Defense Health Network - Front Office.
Manage an extremely active calendar of appointments; composing and proofreading correspondence that is sometimes confidential; arranging complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries, and agendas.
Research assembles/edits/summarizes a wide variety of subject material pertinent to the organization.
Establish internal procedures to secure and adequately control deadlines, progress reports, and directives.
Receive high ranking visitors from both the military and civilian communities, to include members of Congress, press and foreign officials.
Manage and oversee all contract employees assigned to the Defense Health Network - Front Office, serving as the Contract Representative for the Department of Defense (the government).
Requirements

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes maintaining administrative duties such as scheduling of appointments, meetings, conferences speaking engagements, and other commitments for senior executive staff; identifying administrative areas needing further policy guidance or interpretation; making changes and adjustments as necessary to meet unexpected high-priority demands; assisting with maximizing automation resources for optimum effectiveness of office and duties; coordinating travel arrangement for senior staff. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
