About the Position: This vacancy is within the budget office at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital located on Fort Campbell KY. Expected hours of work are M-F 0730-1600. Applicants should expect to work in a somewhat fast-paced office environment with multiple analysts and one other travel personnel This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Duties

Creates and maintains routing lists, lines of accounting, traveler profiles, budgets, assigned roles and permission levels. Maintains documentation for Certification Officials in accordance with regulatory guidance. Serves as the DTS Debt Management Monitor, Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) Agency Program Coordinator (APC), and the Compliance Tool Administrator. Provides training to travelers and cardholders within the organization.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • TDY (Temporary Duty) is required at least 5% of the time.
  • This is a DOD Financial Management position. The incumbent must complete training and meet position requirements for certification at Level 2 within 2 years of appointment. Failure to obtain and maintain certification may result in adverse action.
  • A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
  • This position has been designated Weather Essential. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing office automation systems to input and process financial/budget data; monitoring and maintaining travel card transactions; and advising travelers on policies and regulations related to travel card requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Finance, Accounting, or Business Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages
