You will serve as an Engineering Technician in the Structural Engineering and Planning Division of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
Salary Range:
GS-09: $62,517 - $81,272 PA
GS-10: $68,845 - $89,496 PA
Duties
You will practice structural engineering concepts/principles for the branch which includes inspection/repair of tanks, Special Hull Treatment Mold In Place, preservation, sound damping, deck covering and Maintenance Requirement Card inspections.
You will develop engineering instructions/procedures which entail ship checking, developing/modifying Job Summaries, Task Group Instructions, material ordering, and inspection and verification requirements.
You will establish resource requirements, duration allowance, and equipment requirements required to perform the work in accordance with technical specification/requirements Industrial Process Instructions, and Technical Manual Maintenance Standards.
You will provide technical engineering and planning guidance as part of a team lead by an assigned group leader and coordinate with other members of the team for engineering projects.
You will perform and prepare engineering instructions and procedures required to execute projects.
You will provide technical guidance for and prepare procedures including resource requirements, duration and allowances for conducting tests on various structures, compartments, equipment and systems.
Requirements

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Preparing engineering instructions and technical documents in support of ship systems or alterations and coordinating the required materials and resources needed to complete ship alteration projects.
GS-09 Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting in preparing engineering instructions and technical documents in support of ship systems or alterations and reviewing the required materials or resources needed to complete ship alteration projects.
