The FBI's Information Technology Infrastructure Division (ITID) is seeking a highly qualified Network Engineer Information Technology Specialist, to design, optimize and deploy innovative network infrastructure that enables customer-focused solutions for reliable, resilient enterprise data transport. Duties

Provides engineering level support for the section's network/systems and supporting devices. Works with a team of engineers to research and obtain knowledge regarding state-of-the-art networking equipment, designs, and architectures. Helps initiate and coordinate testing of state-of-the-art networking related technologies. Documents hardware and software capabilities and studies the applicability of such technologies for current and future FBI network systems. Assists team leads with planning and coordination of large projects that involve multiple stages in the engineering life cycle. Works with procurement teams to provide data needed to purchase future hardware and software in support of both existing and future FBI networking systems.

Qualifications

GS-13: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level. SE is defined as follows: Experience presenting to, and preparing formal and informal written documents for, executive level management. Experience gathering and analyzing information, identifying business problems, trends and patterns, and making recommendations for solutions. Experience constructing and developing illustrative flow charts, diagrams, and other visual representations to present complex data topics to stakeholders. COR preferred, will need to have COR training.
