This position is located in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Office of the Commissioner for Patents, Office of Information Technology for Patents, Office of Patent Information Resources, Digital Media Services. The purpose of DMS is to provide the Patent Corps with a wide array of multimedia products and services, including large webcast support, computer-based training, web-based training, video/audio production, graphic arts, CD/DVD/Blu-ray duplication and digital photography.

The physical worksite for this position is located in Alexandria, Virginia. This position is telework eligible per agency and business unit discretion/policy.

Specialized Experienceis experience that has equipped applicants with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position, the next lower grade level is a GS-12. Specialized experience for this position includes:
(1) Planning and managing phases of video production (e.g., pre-production and post-production, life cycle) projects.
(2) Planning and managing the use of audiovisual images, 3D computer generated (CG) content, and/or green- screen compositing techniques.
(3) Utilizing devices to communicate ideas on a variety of topics.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Education may not be substituted for specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level.
