Duties
You will coordinate, compile, and finalize specifications for a variety of civil works, military construction, and supply contracts for projects.
You will be responsible for the development of projects, plans, specifications, and other programming documents involving complex major and minor construction to include family housing, operations and maintenance, and base tenant facility projects.
You will perform complex military and civil engineering projects with the responsibility for developing and coordinating major structural engineering features, either independently or with review from licensed engineers.
You will analyze and evaluates work order requests for repair, maintenance and construction submitted by base tenants.
You will Monitor assigned base facility projects from start to finish and works with a professional engineer for all base facility projects.
Provides organizational support for planning, analyzing, coordinating, evaluating, and directing the development of priorities, performance metrics, resource allocations and work force management.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
GS-11:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Requires comprehensive and practical knowledge of engineering and construction methods, principles, and techniques, and the expert ability to apply this knowledge to complex projects, construction, and technical engineering design; Broad knowledge of the Facilities Sustainment, Restoration and Modernization (FSRM) practices, policies, and procedures; The technician is expected to be thoroughly familiar with set facility guidelines and exercises considerable judgment to make sound engineering compromises and decisions and Expert experience in creating and reviewing comprehensive construction cost estimates for buildings, military facilities, or industrial compound.
GS-10:

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Requires extensive knowledge of engineering and construction methods, principles, and techniques, and the ability to apply this knowledge to complex projects, construction, and technical engineering design; Show extensive knowledge in some area of the Facilities Sustainment, Restoration and Modernization (FSRM) practices, policies, and procedures; The technician is expected to be familiar with set facility guidelines and exercises good judgment to make sound engineering compromises and decisions and Extensive experience in creating and reviewing comprehensive construction/ repair cost estimates for buildings, military facilities, or industrial compound
