Duties

You will Act as the principal civilian executive and advisor to the Director of Operations on all aspects of directorate. You will participate in current operations and strategic long-range planning meetings to ensure that command's goals and objectives are fully and effectively aligned. You will confer with staff elements of the command to develop plans, programs, and procedures. You will assure ongoing understanding orders and applicable laws, regulations, policies, practices and expectations of policies, of other Federal, state, and local governmental agencies is consistent with policy. You will provide updates on programs organization when required. You will analyze and interpret regulations, policies, and guidance to determine the impact on the installation and region programs. You will supervise subordinate both Civilian and Military professional and technical employees and Plans work to be accomplished and sets priorities for completion.

  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • You will be recalled to Duty outside of normal working hours.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of SPECIALIZED experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning, coordinating, developing and reviewing operational concepts, policies, management controls, standards, and procedures; Experience in personnel and workforce management to include experience with personnel administration (pay, leave, discipline, performance evaluations, hiring, etc; providing resource management and monitoring new/evolving requirements, priorities, and resources such as budget, personnel, training opportunities and equipment/technology; prioritize and assign work (project management, personnel assignments, equipment and materials resourcing, etc. and making well-informed, effective, and timely decisions, whether data may be limited or vast; or solutions produce unpleasant consequences; perceives the impact and implications of decisions. Analyzes critically and uses sound judgment to simultaneously integrate and weigh situational constraints, risks, and rewards.
