You will serve as a Ship Progressman (General) in the Production Resources Department of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Duties

You will be responsible for planning, controlling, and monitoring acquisition of production support equipment and materials for the department. You will be responsible for the procurement of supplies and equipment for the production department operations and activities, and services within allowances. You will perform inventories, establishes and maintains records to track issue, location and turn-in of equipment. You will coordinate external and internal facility scheduling for the Department. You will provide cost estimates of damaged facilities and equipment, prepare correspondence and attend meetings as facilities representative. You will coordinate recommendations made are based on knowledge of current and proposed equipment modification, repair, and disposal programs. You will use schedules, work authorizations and Production plans and specifications, determines key points of work requiring close coordination or follow-up. You will perform inspections, Coordinate Transfer of Custody process, Inventory Control and Maintenance, and Data Collection/Input in support of Production department activities and initiatives.

  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
