You will serve as an Industrial Specialist (Aircraft) in the Maintenance and Contract Management Det/ Production Department of NATC KINGSVILLE.
Duties
You will liaise with Navy and DoD activities to establish quantifiable contracting goals.
You will Conduct thorough site surveys and studies of contractor and government aircraft industrial facilities to evaluate their ability to support current and anticipated workload.
You will establish trend analysis as required to quickly identify production issues.
You will verify daily, contractor’s performance in meeting contract production requirements.
You will work closely with the contractor to remove obstacles affecting the completion of the mission.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States drivers license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field PQM Level II. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes occasionally for the duration of the work shift.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current IA Level II certification.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:interpreting military aviation contracts by identifying production needs and collaborating with Naval Facilities and program managers to develop improvement and repair plans that meet a commands mission.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
or
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience
