You will serve as a ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST in the ENVIRONMENTAL BUSINESS LINE of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND HAWAII.
Duties
You will work on environmental protection projects of complex scope involving analysis, development, implementation and management of
environmental programs.
You will serve as a command technical expert in one or more program or functional areas and also plan, implement, or monitor other
environmental programs.
You will manage installation aspects of environmental plans and permits, by ensuring compliance with permits issued by local, State, and
Federal regulatory agencies.
You will provide technical expertise in resolving compliance issues with regulators.
You will implement corrective action in compliance with regulations.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing new, improving, or modifying existing environmental protection policies, practices, or processes; 2) Coordinating environmental efforts to ensure compliance and timely execution of customer needs; 3) Developing and submitting permit applications; 4) Coordinating environmental program inspections to ensure compliance with applicable Navy, State, Federal, and local regulatory regulations and policies; and 5) Providing technical expertise in resolving compliance issues with regulators. **NOTE** This information must be clearly supported in your resume.
