This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, United States Coast Guard (USCG), Naval Engineering Resource Management Division (CG-452), Office of Naval Engineering (CG-45), Assistant Commandant for Engineering and Logistics (CG-4) in Washington, DC.
Duties
This position maintains cognizance of a variety of program oversight concerns for the Surface Force Depot Maintenance Operations and Surface Force Logistics Operations and the Surface Forces Logistics Center Inventory Control Point (ICP).

Qualifications
To qualify for the GS-14: Applicants must possess to one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lowest grade level (GS-13) in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
Examples of specialized experience includes:
Evaluating the effectiveness of short- and long-range planning and various programs designed to meet the Deputy Commandant for Mission Support's organizational goals and objectives.
Coordinating with a diverse workforce team from CG Headquarters directorates to various Logistics and Service Centers to assess organization development needs.
Planning, coordinating and implementing duties necessary to address organizational development and sustainment of our surface assets, as well as programs that manage them.
Researching and interpreting federal laws and regulations policies and procedures to advice on intent and applications of concepts and principles. To include Coast Guard (CG) Authorization Acts that impact budget authorities for CG Vessels in sustainment and the workload of the CG Yard.
Providing recommendations and implementing guidance on a range of alternatives to resolve issues when managing surface assets/vessels in a resource constrained environment.
Leading study groups and/or committees to identify and implement recommendations to improve overall functions, operations, and performance of the mission support organization.
Researching, exploring and developing strategic planning initiatives to support the Command priorities.
