You will serve as a SUPPORT SERVICES ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST in the DEPUTY COMMANDANT INFORMATION of HQ US MARINE CORPS.
Duties
You will perform needs analyses to define opportunities for new or improved business process solution.
You will serve as the coordinator and administrator of the manpower, personnel and pay information reported into the Marine Corps Total Force System (MCTFS) and the Defense Travel System (DTS).
You will assist with requisitioning and maintaining sufficient on hand supplies, publications, and administrative resource.
You will develop methods for automating administrative reports and spreadsheets to track the S-1 report monthly spending.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: experience with coordinating administrative support in manpower, personnel, and pay information AND coordinate all travel requirements for both military and civilian personnel.

In addition to the specialized experience required, you must also possess one of the following:
Specialized Experience (for positions above GS-5): One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower level in the normal line of progression that demonstrated knowledge of the methods and procedures for providing or performing a variety of functions and services applicable to the position to be filled; ability to plan, organize, and control work involving diverse activities; ability to gain cooperation and coordinate the work of others; and skill in oral and written communications.

Education
Undergraduate Education: Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, in an accredited college or university, is qualifying for GS-5 level positions.
Graduate Education: Major study -- public administration, business administration, industrial engineering, industrial management, or other administrative or management fields related to the position to be filled. For some positions in this series graduate education may not provide the knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience may be required for such positions. One full academic year of graduate-level education is creditable for GS-7; 2 years or a master's or equivalent graduate degree is creditable for GS-9; and 3 years or a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree is creditable for GS-11.
Note: Equivalent combinations of education and experience are also qualifying for grade levels for which both education and experience are acceptable.
