Duties
Provides key support in the management analysis branch, including all facets of Payroll processing and the Government Travel Credit Card (GTCC) program.
Manages and maintains payroll data, reports, and the local United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) GTCC automated data program.
Provides training and assistance to supervisors and timekeepers ensuring proper and accurate pay to employees.
Researches pay data and correct payroll system rejects and incorrect accounting data.
Establishes and performs updates to employee records.
Coordinates with serviced organizations and the Civilian Personnel Advisory Center (CPAC) on Request for Personnel Actions (RPAs) when necessary.
Generates, interprets and analyzes various reports as they relate to payroll.
Provides support to the management analysis and manpower functions of the office, occasionally.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Researching information extracted from automated financial and accounting systems; 2) Providing key assistance to vital service areas, such as management analysis, manpower payroll, budget, workload reports, and automated data processing; 3) Researching regulation, directives, standards, and other publications, which establish procedures; and 4) Consulting with internal and external customers to articulate personnel and payroll matters. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
