Duties
MAJOR DUTIES: Responsible for overseeing the complete operation, management, supervision and administration of the MCCS Property and Supply area. Responsibilities include drafting the purchase requests, receiving, storage, disposal, marking and issuing of property and supplies. Ensures that all items received are processed in a timely manner to include the decaling and accountability of fixed assets. Ensures that all prepaid supplies are properly marked and warehoused. Ensures the timely processing of activity requisitions of prepaid supplies. Maintains proper accountability over all types of MCCS property. Ensures that all MCCS property records are updated to include the movement of assets between activities. Maintains data on all property. Responsible for conducting the MCCS year-end inventory of fixed assets and prepaid supplies. Responsible for the selling or sale of MCCS property. Formulates activity operations and maintenance budgets and capital expenditure budget. Responsible for supervision and work performance of subordinate staff. Prepares work schedules, approves time cards, and approves/disapproves leave requests. Counsels employees and recommends corrective action in cases of misconduct or unsatisfactory performance.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have practical working experience in all phases of warehousing and distribution methods, property, inventory, stock control procedures and proper disposal methods. Must be skilled in phases of receiving, storing, and issuing procedures. Must be thoroughly familiar with standard warehousing policies and procedures. Must have the ability to supervise and direct the work of a subordinate staff. Knowledge of basic accounting procedures and common safety practices. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45 lbs independently and objects over 45 lbs with assistance. Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a valid fork lift operator's license. A valid health card is required in order to possess a valid fork lift operator's license.
