About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command 500th Military Intelligence Brigade Office of the Commander Office of the S4, Facilities in Schofield Barracks, HI.
Duties
Serve as the Facilities Manager and is the principal staff consultant for facility management activities. Create work request with complete scope of work and preliminary cost estimates.
Partners with Department of Public Works by establishing open communication channels to meet U.S. Army Garrison established submission deadlines.
Arrange provisions of maintenance and facilities support to the mission to include maintenance of authorized items, grounds, and facilities.
Determine total maintenance/improvement requirements.
Manage a variety of projects, including (but not limited to) maintenance and repair, rehabilitation, and service projects from inception to completion.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance based on a Tier 3 investigation.
- Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel may be required 25% or less of the time.
- All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
