About the Position: This position is located in Fort Carson, Colorado with the Army Contracting Command Mission & Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Fort Carson Division.

Duties

Provides an expert level of procurement analyst support for procurements involving highly specialized, complex services contracts of significant importance to the customers. Analyzes trends to alerts management to any emerging problems; and makes recommendations based on trends revealed by the metrics. Provides both contracting-related and non-contracting information, briefings, and training as required to include written and oral responses to satisfy reports, statistical, and other inquiries, and customer education. Plans, develops and establishes the procurement objectives and contractual strategy for acquisition programs aligned with the operational contracting support mission.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Contracting Professional within 36 months of entrance on duty in accordance with the DoDI 5000.66, change 3.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
• This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
