You will serve as a MAINTENANCE INSPECTOR in the FACILITIES MANAGEMENT DIVISION of MARINE CORPS AIR GROUND COMBAT CTR. This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties

You will utilize current real property inventory records located in and facility history files located in USMC MAX (Maximo) physically inspects and record deficiencies on all buildings, utility systems, and major installed equipment. You will inspect building structural components, building mechanical and electrical systems and utility distribution systems in consonance with inspection guidelines. You will prepare cost estimates as required for correction of recorded deficiencies. You will enter all data and results into the iNFADS (program database) and USMC MAX (Maximo) database. You will record all capital improvements for real property into the iNFADS database. You will assist Planning Officer and Planners as required.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • Lifting and carrying of moderate weights may be required in the performance of duties, such as ladders, tools, etc. used in the execution of inspections.
  • Employees will be required to walk considerable distances, stoop, bend, kneel and crawl as well as climb ladders and scaffolding in the performance of inspections.
