Duties
Write thorough and detailed documentation of datasets, scripts, and processing procedures.
Ensure the integration of all systems components, e.g., procedures, databases, policies, software, and hardware.
Consult with customers regarding scheduling and delivery, and quality review and timeliness of product delivery and services.
Diagnose and resolve customer problems in a manner that minimizes interruptions in the customer's ability to carry out critical business activities.
Prepare proposals for new IT applications that support the priorities of an organization.
Requirements

- You will be required to submit to a drug test and receive a negative drug test result prior to appointment. In addition, this position is subject to random testing for illegal drug use.

- This is a bargaining unit position represented by the National Treasury Employees Union Chapter 340.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet both the IT-Related Experience and the Specialized Experience requirements described below. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
IT-Related Experience- Your resume must demonstrate that you meet ALL (4) four of the following Competencies:
(1) Attention to Detail-is through when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail;
(2) Customer Service- Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services;
(3) Oral Communication- Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately; and
(4) Problem Solving- Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

Specialized Experience GS-12: Applicants must have one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service (obtained either in the private or public sectors) performing the following: (1) analyzing functional and technical requirements of proposed or existing IT systems with an emphasis on ColdFusion or another type of programming language, to determine avenues of development or modification; (2) identifying alternative approaches to the design of current or proposed systems; (3) preparing and executing tests for system software validation and reviewing production operations to identify, diagnose, and correct production-processing problems. TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted).
