Duties

Serve as a subject matter expert within the Defense Health Network on the Issue resolution for Clinical, Revenue Cycle and Administrative facets of the electronic health record and associated interfaces. Advise on strategic integration of all Electronic Health Record (EHR) workflows, encounter creation and management, and technology solutions to support Electronic Health Record modernization. Lead in solution development with expertise by collaborating with enterprise partners in the development of Health Information Technology Content and Configuration Change Management Issue Resolution Management policies, processes, and procedures. Support network leaders, and MTF Commanders by defining, analyzing and resolution of issues related to MHS-G, and associated interfaces. Plan and direct health informatics support operations and their effect on the ability to meet mission objectives, policies, and procedures. Represent the organization at DoD, DHA, command and installation meetings and conferences.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
