Monitors Liberty Office, greets patrons, promotes good patron relationships and enhances the image of the respective facility. The incumbent reviews the schedule of functions that are to take place during the assigned shift in order to ascertain what special preparations are required.
Duties
Assists in the planning, preparation and implementation of a comprehensive Single Sailor program. Assists in preparing and displaying promotional materials such as posters, bulletin boards, banners and flyers. Promotes upcoming events and activities. Ensures that the facility is opened and/or closed at scheduled daily hours of operation following established security procedures. Ensures that programs and activities within the center are operated in accordance with applicable rules and regulations. Complies with safety and security rules and regulations. Responsible for collecting fees and charges for a variety of activities and resale operations. Issues and inspects activity equipment daily. Informs supervisor of supplies or repairs needed. Completes paperwork such as check in/out sheets, utilization, daily attendance records, daily activity reports, etc. Conducts special events, tournaments, entertainment programs, and other activities as assigned. In the absence of the facility manager, acts as the building supervisor reporting emergencies to appropriate personnel and maintaining a secure and safe environment throughout the building. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation. Background Investigations are conducted using fingerprint identification and completion of background inquiry forms.
- Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
Qualifications
Knowledge of computers, stereo equipment, video games, etc., preferred. Knowledge of inventory procedures. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and be able to communicate effectively with others. Ability to maintain reports and records. Must possess or be able to obtain a Class B driver's license within 90 days of employment. Scheduled hours will include evenings, weekends and holidays.
