This National Guard position is for an Aviation Resource Management Specialist, Position Description Number D1891000 and is part of the 114 OSS. This is a Permanent, Title 32, Dual-Status position. Duties

As an Aviation Resource Management Specialist, GS-2101-09, you will: This position is located in the Air Operations Division of an Air National Guard Aviation Wing. It's purpose is to: plan, implement, and control all operational administrative aspects of aircrew resource management, aircrew training, aircrew incentive pay, various Air Force forms, Aviation Resource Management System (ARMS) control, ARMS interfaces, operational reports, technical guidance, and training of assigned aviation resource management personnel. This is accomplished through the: interpreting and administering of laws and regulations; directing, controlling, and monitoring the resource and training requirements of assigned rated and non rated aircrew for mission accomplishment and safety of flight; and serving as the overall ARMS database manager, analyst, and administrator for the Wing. As required, the position periodically performs Flight Services Specialist duties.

  • May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.

Qualifications

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected individual must be assigned to a compatible military position in the following AFSC upon date of hire: AFSC 1C0X2. The AFSC requires an aptitude score of A41 and physical profile of G333233. Aptitude scores can be checked on the vMPF or at the Customer Service in the Force Support Squadron and physical profile in the medical squadron. Military grade inversion within the full-time work force is not permitted. The military grade of the full time supervisor must equal or exceed the military grade of personnel supervised. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training interpreting, explaining, and/or applying a variety of regulations and procedures. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Experience, education, or training in mission planning for preflight, in-flight, ground or command and control (C2) duties according to specific transportation functions. Receives, interprets, extracts, and disseminates relevant data for mission planning or execution. Experience coordinating and negotiating with organizations/personnel both orally and in writing to resolve differences/problems. Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities (KSAs): Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit a separate sheet(s) addressing the Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) and how they relate to work experience, education or training. This document will be used to determine the PAY GRADE to which an applicant may qualify. - Knowledge of aviation resource management principles, programs, policies, and practices. - Skill in evaluating the effectiveness of the program managed and in developing strategies for necessary improvements. - Skill in interpreting and explaining the law and regulations relating to all facets of administering the incentive pay programs (ACIP, CEFIP, & HDIP). - Knowledge of and skill in flight management principles and methods, to include management of the flying hour management program in order to provide documentation and reports to assist in the Wing's effective use of the annual flying hour allocation.
