You will serve as a PROGRAM ASSISTANT (OA) in the AVIATION TRAINING AND STANDARDIZATION DEPARTMENT of CNATRA.

Duties

You will be responsible for a variety of administrative duties that directly support management and supervisory functions. You will prepare and monitor the internal operating budget (IOB) for the organization. You will oversee distribution of allocations, review/analysis of expenditure trends, and advise management of significant deviations. You will execute duties and assume responsibility for the coordination, referral, or the related changes in practices and policies that are the result of attended meetings, functions, and correspondence. You will provide for research of governing regulatory and policy guidance. You will serve as Training Coordinator; responsibilities include the dissemination of all training material and associated documentation. You will conduct Defense Travel System (DTS) Reviewer duties for the department.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to lift/carry items weighing up to 20 pounds.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-5 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: utilizing office automation software to compile and track various types of data to ensure efficient and effective operation of departmental programs. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
